Ooty lake
The lake was built during the British rule, by Coimbatore collector John Sullivan in 1824-25. It is an artificial lake. The lake is under the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Department, whose jurisdiction it was found by the Tourism Department in 1973. The area of two and a half km long Lake is spread over 65 acres.
Various colorful flowers spread in the hills around the lake to enhance the beauty here. Boating can also be enjoyed in motor boats, paddle boats and rowing boats in the lake. Avalanche lake
